USA used to be more liberal on weed than canada. I think Mccain is ready to legalize
especially with Palin (bigtime reformer)…..

Vote NDP for weed rights if you are on the left, vote Green Party otherwise.
A vote for Harper is a vote for Bush, not weed.
Vote ABC : Anything But Conservative.

DER!
Grow the fuck up.
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
That’s your perspective. I think it’s been seen that if you prohibit it hard enough maybe you can stop it all together
…

Face it, legalization will not happen without the Liberal party. They’ll come onside, they just need a nudge from its membership.
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
Is this bill just for the trafficing? what are the sentences for personal use?
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
oddly enough there is no minimum sentencing for cocaine or crack or even violent crimes like assault causining, murder or child molestation
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am

It wasn’t passed officially. Its going to the commitee for further meaningless formalitys and debate.
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
Shit! the bill was just passed! only the ndp voted no!
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
The Bill is awaiting referral to Committee. I have contacted the clerk and indicated my desire to testify.
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
Bill C-26 is a blatant attempt to bring the failed and dysfunctional American war on drugs to Canada by tying the hands of the Canadian judiciary.
It is very disturbing that Canada’s Conservative party has gotten so far out of touch with the people of Canada.

We need to rally people…People who are smart enough to see through the bullshit that is going to overtake us if we don’t do something now. Spread the word and rally people together to revolt against these greedy scumbags who run our countries…
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
thank you so much for the straight talk on this Keith. This bill will increase violence. that is all I needed to hear. You should have a special place on National Television to broadcast as a voice of reason. the good people would support you I have no doubt.
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
What is the status of this bill? I know it has gone through its 1st reading in the house of Commons, but thats all I know. Its a shame that this country is going backwards instead of forward.

He wasn’t 3 weeks ago, when I wrote my comment.
The ethics he espoused are universal though and can be applied anywhere ie. ends do not justify means. Not to mention he’d stop antagonizing the rest of the world, and that’s good for everyone.
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
Wait, wait…You’re from Canada, why endorse an American presidential candidate (who’s already out of the race)?
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
That’s just what is on the wall. I don’t support Ron Paul. Though I don’t think that supporting a candidate destroys anyones credibility.
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
Don’t forget that coupled with Bill C-35 (if it passes the senate) will allow Harper to throw the accused in jail and essentially deny bail. Harper can’t seem to fill the prisons fast enough for his tastes.
Ron Paul 08! Most credible politician in the race =)
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
I completely agree with you, however, speaking in front of a Ron Paul poster completely destroys your credibility.
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
Mr. Tousaw, well said keep up the good work and thanks for your counsel this summer. Peace. Tyrone

Nobody believes the gateway garbage, they just pretend to for money,as an excuse to hurt people, for the sake of the argument or to avoid trouble. The “it’s not a black and white issue” is the last retreat of people who know they are wrong. The church in the middle ages wasn’t “partially right” about the witch hunts, Hitler wasn’t “partially right” about the jews, lies told for the purpose of causing harm to make money are not “other truths”,they are lies.
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
Excellent job Kirk!!!
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
I can at least say that the issues is not black and white. As I said, pot is not a gateway in all cases. If you think that these issues are black and white, you truly are naive. It is in my profession that I encounter these issues, and if you think you know everything on them, you are sadly mistaken. Again, this is what’s wrong with the system, and why government is tightening things up. The system is not working because of people like you.
July 9th, 2009 at 8:24 am
Kirk, the issues are far more complex. If you think that I’m completely wrong on every issue, that is what’s wrong with our legal system. As a lawyer, you are only one part of the system. If the pro-pot group is so far ahead in thought, start looking at the real issues. This will work better than spreading fear in attempts to find any reason to promote people frying their brains, deteriorating communities, and promoting criminal activity…..THAT is what’s wrong with our system.
